PROLOGUE: Okay, well it is now Thursday past 7pm Berkeley time. This is an official entry, it is NOW TOO LATE to get yer Fatted Calf. Sorry if you missed out. If you didn't, then you rock.

Here ya go you last minute shopper, here's your chance. The Fatted Calf will be attending two Berkeley Farmer's markets today (that's Tuesday) & Thursday. They gonna have truffled pork sausage and Guinea Hen Terrines and Boudin Blanc stuffed Quails and and and and, oh my. Looks as though the Mortadella is gone for a bit. Someone came in and bought the whole lot. Dang. I picked up a Jambon Persille in a cute little crock on Saturday. I haven't tried it yet, maybe tonight. I'll let you know how that went.

Yeah, we know you probably have a lot to do, but this is important. Today and Thursday are your last 2 chances to get holiday goodies from Fatted Calf!!!

Today brings truffles in the form of Duck Liver Mousse, Crepinettes with Chard and Pine Nuts, and Boudin Blanc with Chestnuts, among other things. (see below) Thursday is the day you can lay your hands on Petite Jambon, little boneless cold smoked fresh hams perfect for holiday brunch, Arrista Panzanese ( Tuscan Style pork roast loaded with Fennel, Rosemary and Garlic), AND, Hoffman Farm Quail stuffed with Boudin Blanc and Chestnuts. Please note: some items may sell out before you get there, so have a plan B. As Toponia says: “This ain’t no factory.”
